About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Statistical & Financial Analyst to join our Research, Analytics and Reporting Group. The role sits within the Data Services and Reporting branch which is responsible for leading the production and coordination of 香港六合彩开奖记录’s statistical publications and associated products from the national administrative collections and surveys.

Working closely with the Project Manager, National VET Funding Collection, the Senior Statistical & Financial Reporting Analyst will:

  • Provide leadership in financial data reporting, driving collaboration between internal teams and government stakeholders to enhance statistical reporting and financial data integrity.
  • Engage with key government stakeholders and external agencies on VET funding reporting requirements based on Australian accounting standards.
  • Coordinate the reporting of official statistics on government funding of VET.
  • Review, develop, recommend and implement improvements and efficiencies across the statistical collection and outputs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior analysts on the analysis and interpretation of financial data.
  • Manage and improve 香港六合彩开奖记录’s data products and services.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have excellent oral and written communication skills, high level project management and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to mentor your coworkers.  This coupled with your excellent technical ability, including experience in interpreting financial data, will see you succeed in this role.

As a professional with demonstrated technical experience and capability, you will bring the following expertise and qualities to the role:

  • Relevant qualification in a discipline such as finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required; CA or CPA certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the AASB financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate financial data into insights for non-technical audiences
  • Significant experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience coordinating multiple tasks and working to tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of the Australian Vocational Education and Training system is desirable.

Appointment Details

  • Ongoing full-time position (0.8FTE will be considered for the right applicant).
  • Hybrid working from the office/home arrangement
  • Additional gifted leave over Christmas shut down
  • Full-time equivalent salary will be in the range of $98,000 to $115,000 (plus 12% superannuation) commensurate with skills and experience.
