We’re pleased to announce that the 34th National Vocational Education and Training (VET) Research Conference ‘No Frills’ will be co-hosted with TAFE Queensland at the Robina Events Centre.
Conveniently situated in the heart of Robina on the Gold Coast, the Robina Events Centre is state-of-the art event space which has been developed with sustainability in mind.
A portion of profits from Robina Events Centre are reinvested into new educational equipment, scholarships and sustainability focused community projects.

Delegates may choose to wear comfortable, smart casual clothing during the conference and social events.
Temperatures on the Gold Coast in July will be around 19°C, going down to 10°C at night.

One of the reasons we have chosen to host the 2025 ‘No Frills’ conference at the Robina Events Centre is because of their strong sustainability focus. The Robina Events Centre takes pride in reducing their carbon footprint and ensuring that each event they host is eco-friendly. From utilising energy-efficient technologies to sourcing locally-sourced and sustainable products, they are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment.
To further their commitment to sustainability, they have taken various steps to reduce their carbon footprint and minimize their impact on the environment. The Robina Events Centre is equipped with energy-efficient lighting, recycle and compost waste, and work with local suppliers who share their commitment to sustainability.
We have arranged for shuttle buses to transport delegates to and from the Robina Events Centre and the recommended accommodation locations (Mermaid Waters Hotel by Nightcap Plus, Meriton Suites Broadbeach, Gold Coast and Mercure Gold Coast Resort) throughout the conference.
This is a free service that delegates will be required to opt into this during their registration to confirm their seat. To check that this is included on your registration or to add this to your registration, click the 'edit registration' button on the top right-hand side of the registration page or email events@ncver.edu.au. Delegates that have not confirmed this on their registration by Monday 23 June 2025 are not guaranteed a seat on the shuttle buses.
Delegates staying at alternative hotels are also welcome to use the shuttle buses if they can make their way to and from the designated stops. It is the responsibility of the delegate to ensure they are at the designated stops by the scheduled times. No alternate transport will be arranged for delegates who miss the shuttle buses.

Parking at TAFE Queensland Robina Campus - There is limited parking available on-site at the Robina campus, which is allocated for TAFE students, staff and visitors. Parking is strictly subject to availability; vehicles must be parked in spaces identified by the TAFE Queensland logo, and must be registered using the EasyPark app.
Parking at CBus Stadium - Guests are encouraged to use the CBus Stadium car park located under the Vue development, off East Lane, Robina. The car park is open from 0600-1800. Cost: $5.00 per day.
Street Parking - Street parking is limited and subject to time restrictions.
Delegates interested in learning how to access Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ data can speak one-on-one to our specialist data experts at our drop-in data centre. This personalised service will assist delegates with everything data, from a basic introduction to VOCSTATS, to constructing tables for specific data, or exploring Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼'s range of data products and tools.
We will also have an expert staff member on hand to help you navigate Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼'s free international research database, VOCEDplus, containing over 80,000 Australian and international tertiary education research and statistical publications.
Keynotes, presentations, forums, and workshops will be delivered in person, and delegates will once again have the opportunity to network with colleagues face-to-face. No sessions will be recorded.

The conference dinner is available to delegates who have pre-purchased a dinner seat in their registration.

Please note that there are limited spaces available.
The dress code for the Conference Dinner is smart casual.
The Island Gold Coast is located 20 minutes from the Robina Events Centre. To make getting to and from the Conference Dinner easier for delegates, bus transportation has been arranged for $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased for the Conference Dinner transport during the registration process.

Delegates are also welcome to make their own way to and from the conference dinner. Parking is available from $17 at the Bruce Bishop Car Park next door to the dinner venue, and Uber charges from the Robina Events Centre to The Island Gold Coast start from $28 (as of March 2025).
